Life Story
Sister Dorothy (Dottie) Turner was born
September 23, 1937, to the late Luella and Walter Mack. She departed this life Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at home surrounded by family and loved ones.
She was baptized and received God at an early age at Moss Grove Baptist Church in Jonesville, LA.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Luella Gibson; four sisters, Fannie Gibson, Elizabeth Johnson, Mollie Norl, and Lela Gibson; daughter, Barbara (Ann) Dixon; granddaughter, Stacey Dunbar; daughter-in-law, Roslyn Dunbar; and son-in-law, Leroy Edwards.
She leaves to cherish her memories: four sons, Jimmy Turner (Francis), Rev. Ricky Turner (Deloris), Joe Dunbar (Heggar), and Ronnie Dunbar; three daughters, Gwen Seiss (Charlie), Sharlene Edward, and Tracey McCowin; 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
