Obituary of Frankie Ray Bobb
Frankie Ray Bobb was born September 18, 1958 to the late Raymond Bobb, Sr. and Lula Mae “Burns-Anderson” Bobb in Pineville, Louisiana. He departed this life on Monday, January 7, 2019 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana. Frankie Ray accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Raven Camp Baptist Church in Colfax, Louisiana under the leadership of Reverend W. M. Gaines. Later, Frankie Ray was re-baptized by Bishop James Vallier of the Refuge Church-Apostolic Faith in Alexandria, Louisiana. As he continued on his spiritual journey, Frankie Ray moved his membership to Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of Reverend Roger L. Green, Sr., where he remained a member until his passing. Frankie Ray graduated from A. Wettermark High School in Boyce, Louisiana, Class of 1976. He was a former employee of Pinecrest State Developmental Center, Martco Plywood Plant, and Dis-tran Plant. Frankie Ray was preceded in death by his son, Frankie Ray Bobb, Jr.; parents, Raymond Bobb, Sr. and Lula Mae Bobb; brother, Raymond Bobb, Jr.; grandparents, Johnnie Anderson, Frankie Mae Burns, Emmanuel Bobb, Sr., and Mattie E. Bobb. He leaves to cherish his memories: sons, Xavier Ray and Jaquan Bobb of Natchitoches, Louisiana; daughter, Tammy Bobb (Willie) of Alexandria, Louisiana; step-daughters, Cherterica and Tanita Jones of Alexandria, Louisiana, Shanta Pickens, Sherica and Florida Horton of Natchitoches, Louisiana; grandchildren, Taniya Bobb, Telanna Bobb, TaQuera Blake and Shaniya Bobb all of Alexandria, Louisiana; brothers, Alfred james Bobb (Dorothy) and Jerry Wayne Bobb (Karen) of Alexandria, Louisiana; sisters, Sylvia Diane Boyd (Charles) and Jeanetta marie Eldridge of Alexandria, Louisiana, and Linda Gail Fisher (Joe) of Boyce, Louisiana; special friend, Jackie Harrison of Alexandria, Louisiana; godchildren, Charlotte Vernell Smith and Elexus Hongo; godsister, Viola Loyd; godbrothers, Columbus Bobb, Jr., Tim Williams, and Brian Lavalais; five (5) uncles, seven (7) aunts, and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, stepgrandchildren, and friends.
