Obituary of Troy Lee Sanders, Sr.

Troy was a chef for numerous restaurants around town for 50 plus years. He loved to work, so after taking it easy a few years in retirement, he decided to start landscaping and just as good as he could cook, he could make the worst yard on the block simply the best. He retired from it all 2016.

Troy Lee Sanders, Sr. was born to the proud parents of Vascilla Jones Coaty and (stepfather) Lawrence Coaty on February 13, 1947 in Pineville, Louisiana.

He departed this life on Tuesday, December 25, 2018, at home in Alexandria, Louisiana.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Davis Sanders; son, Fredrick Leon Sanders; mother, Vascilla Jones Coaty and twin brothers, Lloyd Gene and Floyd Gene Jones.

He leaves to cherish his memory his five kids, Anita Ann Sanders, Troy Lee Sanders, Jr., Rickey Leon Sanders (Maggie) and LaQuisha Burns; nine Grandchildren; eight Great Grandchildren; seven sisters; Queenie McNeal, Stella Williams, Annie Roland, Silvareen (Peter) Thomas, Vernell (William) Brevelle, Sandra (Johnny) Augustine and Paula (Nolan) Lewis and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends.
