Obituary of Pastor Clarence Frazier Jr.

Family and friends celebrate the life of Pastor Clarence Frazier, Jr. who was born to the late Clarence Frazier, Sr. and Willie Mae Jones Frazier of Alexandria, Louisiana. Entered life March 20, 1951 and completed his earthly journey on the afternoon of December 19, 2018, in Alexandria, LA.

 

Pastor Frazier was baptized at the early age of 7 by, the late Rev. Samuel L. Buckner at New Pilgrim Church. Born and raised in Alexandria, attended and graduated as a “Mighty Warhorse” from Peabody High School’s class of 1969. It was later that he began to serve the New Pilgrim Baptist Church family as a devoted deacon and Sunday school teacher for many years; also privileged to baptize each of his four daughters as members of New Pilgrim Baptist Church, where he later became pastor.

 

Pastor Frazier was officially named to the role of pastor on February 25, 2017, beginning his works of growing the church’s mission, vision and membership. He was in his final semester of college at Louisiana Baptist University and was set to graduate with honors, receiving a bachelor’s degree, May of 2019 with plans to use it to better serve his church family and his community.

 

Pastor Frazier was employed by BellSouth/AT&T Telecommunications for 45 years and served in various management roles; having earned several awards for his dedicated service and remained an active employee until the time of his passing.

 

Pastor Frazier was united in holy matrimony on April 24, 2003 to Sherry A. Frazier and to this union, one child, Sierra Frazier was born and is the father of three daughters, Angela Lavalais, Michelle Frazier and Clarisse Frazier.

 

Pastor Frazier is preceeded in death by his parents, Clarence Frazier Sr., Willie Mae Jones Frazier, and His only brother, Robertson Spikes. Those he leaves to cherish his memory: loving wife, Sherry Frazier, four loving daughters, Angela Frazier Lavalais (Terry), Michelle Renee Frazier, Clarisse Chalayne Frazier and Sierra Sharné Frazier, three granddaughters: Terra Ellyse Lavalais, Tara Elizabeth Lavalais and one great-grandchild Casey Camille Frazier-Pringle. Three sisters: Diahanna Veal, Vickey LeBlanc, Carolyn Frazier and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and close friends.
