Obituary of Rachel Jeanette Simmons Sable

Rachel Jeanetta Simmons-Sable, 43, received her wings October 5, 2018 in El Paso, TX.

Rachel was born July 12, 1975 to Lonnie R. Simmons and Gertrude Marks in Pineville, LA.

Rachel married into the military in 1997 where she and her family have lived abroad in Germany and Japan and various military installations within the US. The family has been in El Paso, TX for the past 13 years.

Rachel was full of life and there was NEVER a dull moment when you were with her. Her kids and family are full of stories of Rachel that will give you a good laugh.

She wanted everyone, especially her kids and grandkids, to know that leaving them was the hardest thing she has ever done.

Rachel is survived by her husband Joseph Sable of El Paso, TX; children Shawnterica Simmons of Lubbock, TX, Yolanda Fowler, Shirleen Moore, and Jimmy Moore, Jr, all of El Paso, TX. She is also survived by her parents Gertrude Marks and Lonnie R. Simmons of Alexandria, LA; her brothers Lonnie R. Simmons, Jr, Nathan Simmons, and Marcus Simmons; sisters Michelle Howard and LaShonda Williams of Temple, TX and LaTasha and Anita Simmons of Alexandria, LA. She is preceded in death by her sister Marlena White. Rachel also leaves behind 4 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
