Obituary of James "DUKE" Deal

James “Duke” Deal enter his internal home on September 23,2018 in Alexandria, La at Rapides General Hospital. James was born on August 1, 1962 in Pineville, La, to the late Lillie Mae Deal and James “Head” Mitchell. He was baptized at an early age at Edgefield Missionary Baptist Church. During his life span he provided a home for many people in the community. He loved riding his bicycle all through the town. He loved his life and his family, but most of all he loved God.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Lillie Mae Deal and James “Head” Mitchell, grandparents Mary Esther Deal, John Henry Deal, Marion Mitchell, and Elnora Wilson. Two sisters; Gennetta Deal, Dorothy Reed and five brothers; Arthur Deal, Melvin Deal, Joe Deal, Kevin “Red Bean” Coleman, and Earl Edward Coleman.

James is survived by stepmother Evenly Mitchell, one daughter Rosalind Brandley, three sons; James Brandley, Demetrius Brandley (Jessica), DeAngelo Hamilton, five sisters; Viola Scott, Lois Coleman, Brenda Mitchell, Doris Mitchell, and Francis Mitchell, three brothers; Larry Deal, Kenneth Mitchell, Bobby Ray Mitchell, 5 grandchildren, and one Uncle Dent Lee Deal

He was loved by host of nieces, nephews, friends, as well as the community of Cheneyville.
