Obituary of Susie Mae Johnson, 64

Susie Mae Johnson made her first steps towards the golden gates of heaven, entering eternal rest on October 5, 2020, at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital. Sue Mae graduated from Peabody High School, later obtaining a position as a CNA working at a nursing home. Retiring at a early age, Sue Mae became a homemaker caring for her family. She enjoyed family gatherings and loved her favorite artist Al Green. Sue Mae leaves many to cherish her memories. She has preceded in death by her husband Johnny Johnson Sr., mother, Nanie Voorhies, and father Luther Johnson Sr. her brother Luther Johnson Jr. and three sisters, Linda Johnson Slaughter, Feliska Thomas, Alice Wright. Sue Mae will be forever loved and missed by her three children, Lawrence Johnson(Sarah) of Marksville, Tamarra Johnson(Danny) of Texas, and Charlene Johnson of Texas; four stepchildren, Johnny Johnson Jr., Jeremy Johnson, DeMarcus Johnson and Yolanda Johnson of Alexandria. Four sisters, Brenda Johnson, Betty Johnson, Sarah Jones of Alexandria, Mary Anderson of Texas; Four brothers, Leo Johnson of Boyce, La., Arthur Johnson, John Johnson, Robert Johnson of Alexandria, La. She also leaves 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services for Mrs. Susie Mae Johnson will be held at Second Nazarene Baptist Church 4800 Smith St. Alexandria, La. on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A Memorial Fundraiser for Susie has been created.
