I have fought a good fight, l have finished my course, l have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 11 Timothy 4:6-8 Danny Keith Cheney was called to his Heavenly home on Friday September 18th at Christus Cabrini hospital. He was born on June 27, 1955 to the union of Kerry and Amy Cross-Cheney in Pineville, Louisiana. He was the 4th of 9 siblings. DANNY accepted Christ at age 12 and was baptised at the Mt SINAI BAPTIST CHURCH in Campti, Louisiana by the late Rev Robert Williams, Pastor. He immediately transferred his membership to Oakland Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Roosevelt Shorter and presently Rev. Elvin Hurts where he remained until his death. His two favorite Bible scriptures were Ps 23 and Is 54:17 Danny was educated in Rapides Parish and graduated from Alexandria Senior high school. He had a great love for football and was the captain of the team, leading the Ash Trojans to many championships. Upon graduation he joined the United States Army serving his country proudly.
