LIFE

Life is just a stepping-stone, A pause before we make it home, A simple place to rest and be, Until we reach eternity. Everyone has a life journey, A path to take with lots to see, God guides our steps along the way, But we were never meant to stay. Our final destination is a place, Filled with love, His majesty and grace. Today we celebrate the life of a loved one, Who has gone before us, the race she has won. Her journey has now ended, Her spirit has ascended Claiming the great reward With Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Sharecka Nicole Lewis-Allen, was born January 6, 1975 to Patricia Ann Lewis and was the eldest of two children. She gained her wings and halo Thursday, August 23, 2018 @ 5:05pm. after 18-days of battling surgery complications and lupus at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN at the age of 43. She was surrounded by her husband, children, brother and mother-in-law throughout her transition. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church by Rev. Abe Lowe. She later rededicated her life to Christ and was baptized again with her entire family on Ko’Koina Beach Park, in Kapolei, HI by Army Chaplain Major Anthony Cook.

On December 31, 2003, Sharecka married Alan Jarmal Allen at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Alexandria, Louisiana under Rev. Clarence Dupar, Jr. To this union they were blessed with four beautiful children.  Sharecka graduated from Peabody Magnet High School (Class of 93) and later advanced her education earning an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Criminal Justice and Pharmacy Techinican Certification from Central Texas College. She was certified by the Board of Pharmacy. A few years later she received her Bachelors of Science Degree with an area of focus in Criminal Justice and Business Administration from Excelsior College in Albany, NY.

Sharecka was a woman that took pride in her commitment to her husband and children very seriously. She was the model Army wife and mother while her husband deployed 5 times to Iraq through Kuwait in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. She kept a tight grasp around the Homefront never let it go asunder. She enjoyed spending time with her family and quickly became the Matriarch of the family once Momo fell ill. She stood tall against all odds and any challenges, stepping over all obstacles. She always had the right words for the moment. Even though some days her pain was very severe, she never stopped smiling. She was an avid reader, enjoyed listening to music and traveling. Sharecka fell in love with the outdoors during their three-year Army tour to Hawaii, Island of Oahu. She enjoyed walking, hiking on the many trails, and sitting on the beach just enjoying the sounds of the waves. Sharecka dreamed of one day opening a center/shelter for women and children victims of domestic violence.

Preceding her in death were her grandfather Robert Lewis Sr.; Step-grandfather Timothy E. Calhoun; Great grandmother Carrie Lowe, Aunt Detrall A. Dudley, and great- uncle Jerry Williams. Sharecka leaves to cherish and carry on her memories a devoted and loving husband Sergeant First Class Alan Jarmal Allen, daughters Tenneshala Tycianna Allen, Shakiya Armani Allen, Cedreon Jamar Allen, Jaylen Jamon Allen all of Fort Campbell, KY; Her mother Patricia Ann Lewis of Alexandria, LA; grandmother Rose E.
