Obituary of Kathy Jenkins Hall, 65

Ms. Kathy Jenkins Hall transitioned to her heavenly home on August 22, 2020. A service celebrating her life and legacy will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 2160 Houston Street, Alexandria, LA 71031. Public Viewing and visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the start of service at 11:00 a.m. ***MASK ARE REQUIRED FOR ENTRY*** She will be taken to Garden of Memories Cemetery immediately following the service for burial. Kathy Gail Jenkins Hall was born July 6, 1955, to the late Laura M. Jenkins and Ike Jenkins, Jr. Kathy accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by late Rev. Lanny Young at St.Paul Baptist Church of Alexandria, Louisiana. Kathy received her formal education in the Rapides parish school district and attended Peabody High School before moving to California and graduating from Lennox High School in 1973. Kathy was united in Holy Matrimony to Carl A. Hall Sr. who was in the United States Air Force until they respectfully parted ways and to this union 3 daughters and 1 son was born.Kathy lived a good life with her family while traveling the world until returning back to Alexandria to attend Delta Charter Career College to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. She enjoyed caring for others until she took on another career of babysitting and took the role of everyone’s other mother and was better known as “Momma Kathy” to all of her kids friends and family. Kathy is cherished by MANY friends and loved ones. Kathy departed this life on Saturday August 22, 2020 at her home surrounded by family and friends. Kathy is preceded in death by her mother and father Laura Mae and Ike (Pete) Jenkins, nephew Patrick Pittman, Grandparents David and Mary Queen Robinson, Janice Jenkins sister in law, and (2) precious grandsons Baby Barnes and Tyson J. Kirkland. She leaves behind to cherish her loving memories (3) daughters Jacqueline Matthews of Killeen, Texas, Latasha Barnes (Darnell) and Carla Hall (Jermaine) of Alexandria, Louisiana, (1) son Carl A. Hall of Alexandria, Louisiana and (1) godson Cortavious Wilkinson of Manvel,Texas (3) sisters Barbara Jones of Tucson, Arizona, Sandra Anderson (Charles), Sylvia Barfield Davis (Nick) of Alexandria, Louisiana. (3) brothers Willard "Billy" Jones of Seattle, Washington, Kenneth Jenkins of Alexandria, Louisiana and Lonnie Jenkins of Houston, Texas. (8) Grandchildren and (3) Great Grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Special Family Friends and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends and all the babies/children she babysitted. ~Miller and Hill The Funeral Directors~
