Obituary of Nellie Oneda Harrington, 86

Nellie Oneda Harrington, 86, of Pineville, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Monday, August 3, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Nellie was the last surviving child of Fannie Ghee and Herman Abernathy. She was born on December 25, 1933. She was baptized at an early age and remained faithful to the church until her health failed. She was an active member of St. Matthew Baptist Church, where she served on the Mission and Deaconess Board and later on studied to become an Evangelist Pastor. Nellie was employed at Miami Jewish Nursing Home in Miami, FL for many years. After moving to Port St. Lucie she worked at Port St Lucie Rehabilitation and Health Care where she retired. Nellie was preceded in death by her parents, four children, three great-grands, four brothers, six sisters and host of other relatives. She leaves to carry on her legacy, her three children, Larry, Belinda and Rabbi; fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
