Obituary of Ronnie Thompson, 67

Obituary On Friday, July 17, 2020, Ronnie Thompson, Sr., passed into eternal life with our Heavenly Father. Ronnie was born on November 28, 1952, in Pineville, Louisiana, to Jack and Marie Thompson. He had six sisters: Edna Reed Palmer, Catherine Washington, Linda Faye Thompson, and Brenda Thompson, all of Lecompte, Louisiana, Alberta Brown of Richmond, Texas, and Joan Hawkins (Charles) of Houston, Texas. Ronnie also had a twin brother, Donnie Thompson (Shandra) of Houston Texas. Ronnie joined the United States Air Force shortly after graduating from high school. He enjoyed playing dominoes. He first married Deborah Thompson, who preceded him in death, and they had four children together: James Thompson, Daneaa Thompson, Ronnie Thompson, Jr. (Shay White), and Courtney Thompson Wimbley (Robert). His family continued to grow, adding eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. On October 6, 2017, Ronnie married Regina Lewis in Lecompte, Louisiana. Their union increased his family, adding five stepchildren, 21 step-grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Ronnie and Regina resided in Alexandria, Louisiana. They were members of Springhill Baptist Church in Lecompte, Louisiana. Ronnie never met a stranger and could always make you smile. He will be remembered as a family man with a heart of gold. His memories will be cherished by all his family and friends. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Marie Thompson; and his first wife, Deborah Thompson.
