Obituary of Asarine West, 75

"Do not think of me as gone. I am with you still in each new dawn" Ms. Asarine West, 75, of Marksville, LA. transitioned to her heavenly home on July 10, 2020 at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital. Obituary Asarine West was born on November 30, 1944 to Edward and Bernice Risin in Mansura, LA. As an infant until age 14 she was raised by Willie and Lorena Bolden who loved and cared for her as their own. Asarine received her education in Avoyelles Parish. She later married her loving husband Earl West. She loved the Lord and became a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Mansura, LA where she served until her final days. Asarine lived a full and vibrant life. She filled the room and heart of those she knew with love, laughter and sassy commentary. Asarine affectionately greeted her loved ones with, “Hey my baby.” She was such a joy to be around and will be dearly missed. Asarine leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Robert Perry Jr. (Connie), Sharon Perry (Mike), Roderick Perry, Willie Perry, Ricky Perry (Zenobia), & Stephen Perry (Tobi); her grandchildren, Santana, Shelton, Pamela, Kyrstin, Kayla, Rashaun, Aneca, Regis, Lyric, Broderick, Trey, Teyonna, Laquita, Lenard, Josh, Allison, Stephon, Malik, Sarena, Jaylen, Konita and Kwanna Heath; her loving brothers and sisters, Willie Mae Frank, Clifford Risin, Betty Lee, Brenda Risin (Alton), Dale Risin, cousins; Ella Mae Frank, Shirley Holden, Pamela Castle, and Glenda Wilson (Joe) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and special friend Eugene (Laffy) Hagger. Asarine was preceded in death by her husband Earl West, her parents Edward and Bernice Risin, Willie and Lorena Bolden; her son, Henry Perry; two sisters, Elaine Gates and Ladette Risin; one brother, Edward Risin Jr.; cousins, Isiah Maten, Deplushe Elaine Smith, Vera Mae Matten and Dianna Smith; two grandchildren, Willie Perry and Cedrick Perry and niece Gwedalyn Marshall.
