Obituary of Earnest McGinnis Jr. 66

"Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts" Earnest McGinnis, 66, of Alexandria, Louisiana, entered the arms of Our Lord on Friday, July 11, 2020. Earnest McGinnis was best known for being a devoted husband, father, grandfather, mentor and devout catholic. He was married to his wife of two years, Stephanie McGinnis. He began his career as an Addiction Recovery Tech at Bridgehouse Half Way House. He then took a job at Edgefield Recovery Center in Cheneyville. Earnest dedicated his life to Narcotics Anonymous and helping others. He was always happy and always smiling. He saw the positive in every situation. Earnest was loved by all the lives he touched. Earnest McGinnis was preceded in death by parents Earnest McGinnis, Sr. and Fannie Partee; brother, Robert Henry; and sister, Jacqueline Henry. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Stepanie McGinnis; sisters, Patty Phillips and Barbara Henry; brother, John Henry, daughter, Luretha Harden; step-daughters, Heidi Desselle and Holly Robert (Drew); two grandchildren, Serienty Robertson and James “Jay” Harden; step-grandchildren, Logan Payne, Kiley Payne, Landon Rachal, Landry Robert and numerous other family and friends.
