Obituary of John Edward Miller, 67

Celebration of Life Biography John Edward Miller, the son of the late Harold Edward Miller and Victoria Hamilton Miller was born September 4, 1952 in Mullins, South Carolina. John Edward, attended Charleston and Georgetown County Schools. He worked as a welder. John Edward was affectionately called “Bob” by his friends. He loved art, baseball and boxing. He started boxing at the age of 17 and continued his passion until the age of 30. He trained and competed in numerous semi-professional competitions and advanced to the level of a Golden Glove amateur boxer. John Edward attended Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Spartanburg, SC and later joined The House of Refuge Church in Cordesville, SC. Roman 8:38-39 says: For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. John Edward loved God and loved his family. He remained close to his family throughout the years. He worked as a clerk and sang on the choir during his detention. He was preceded in death by his parents, a nephew; Andre Miller, two uncles; Namon Hamilton and Cephus Hamilton and foster brothers Joseph Robinson, Jr., Ed Robinson and Leroy Robinson. John Edward leaves to cherish his memories: A very special friend Mazerine Leach of Spartanburg, SC; Harold (Cora) Miller Jr. of Spartanburg, SC; Joe Nathan (Linda) Miller of Smyrna, GA; Eugene (Patty) Miller of Spartanburg, SC; Leroy (Nancy) Miller of Lynchburg, Virginia; Angela Miller-Singleton of Goose Creek, SC; Brenda Miller and the Robinson family of North Charleston, SC.; along with a host of other family members and dear friends.
