Obituary of Donald Ray Green, Sr.
Donald Ray Green, Sr. was born on March 17, 1956 to the late Joseph
“Sunny” Green and Idella Perkins Green in Pineville, Louisiana. He entered
into eternal rest on Monday, August 20, 2018.
Donald was baptized at the age of 10 by the late Reverand Jacobs at the
Second Christian Baptist Church in Alexandria, Louisiana.
He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph “Sunny” Green; his
brother, Bruce Green; and his daughter, Angel Dawn Raeya.
Donald is a 1974 graduate of Peabody High School and attended
Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was a veteran of the
armed forces where he served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force.
He is a retiree of the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Pineville,
Louisiana.
Donald’s memories will always and forever be cherished by his Soul
Mate and Spiritual Wife of thirty-seven years, Eunice Hicks; one daughter,
Donisha West (Sam); two sons, Donald Ray Hicks and Samuel Donovan
Hicks; two grandchildren, Ada West and Ezra West; Mother, Idella Perkins
Green; five brothers, Joseph Green, Jr.(Geneva), Tommy Green(Myrtle);
Michael Green, Darrell Green (Azalea); and Keith Green(Sharonda); two
sisters, Ruby Norris Freeman and Toma Green Epps; and a host of nieces,
nephews and other relatives and friends.
