Mr. Norman Nash Sr. was born July 25, 1940 in Alexandria, Louisiana as the 4th child of 9 children to Walter and Daisy Delores Dorsey Nash. Walter received his formal education in Alexandria, Louisiana where he was a graduate of Peabody High School. Norman received Christ at an early age. He was a faithful member of St. Juliana Catholic Church where he was a member of the Love Choir. Norman was a faithful and dedicated employee of Security Sporting Goods for over 50 years. Norman was married to Mae Rose T. Nash on August 15, 1972. To this union 2 children were born. He was a family man with a big heart, especially for his grandchildren. He never met a stranger because everyone was always welcome to a plate of food, drink or a game of dominoes. You could get a Sunday meal from "Big" Norman, Uncle Norman, Norman's house. Norman received his crown on March 31, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Daisy Nash; sons Norman Nash, Jr. and Randell Nash; brothers Walter Nash, Jr., Louis Edward Nash, James Brown, and Lester Nash, Sr. ; sisters Louistine Hynson, Gladys Stanley, and Nettie Mae N. Washington and two grandchildren. He leaves to honor his life and cherish his memory his wife Mae Rose Tidies Nash; sons Christopher Bernard Nash, Sr. of Alexandria, LA, Walter J. Nash, Sr. of Los Angeles, CA; daughters Wanda D. Nash of Lancaster, CA, Kathy Nash Williams (Delorence) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Melissa Rose Nash Johnson (Kedrick) of Alexandria, LA; one brother Fred "lil Bro" Nash (Bettye); sisters Mary Faye N. Rhodes (Raymond), Betty Ann N. Reed (Late Donald) and Brenda J. N. Roy all of Alexandria, LA; aunt Rosa Lee Bell of Alexandria, LA. 20 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers in law, cousins and friends.
