II Timothy 4:7 Olie Mae Richard Turner was born on May 18, 1944 to the late Joseph and Lillian Armstrong Richard in McCrea, LA. She was the youngest of her six siblings. Oli departed this life on March 23, 2020 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law Shirlyn Turner Muse and Arthur Lane Muse. Olie was baptized at an early age at Mt. Salem Baptist Church under the Pastorship of Rev. Lafayette. Oli later moved to Lake Charles, LA and became a member of New Sunlight Baptist Church under the Pastorship of Rev. Dr. V.E. Washington. Olie faithfully served in the usher ministry for many years. Olie later moved her membership to Greater New Bethel Baptist Church pastored by Rev. Chris Augustine. Olie was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Lillian Richard, two sisters Effie Lanius and Augustine Harris, three brothers Ira Dixon, James Richard, and Joseph Charles Richard, son in law Bernard Joseph Gosserand Sr., grandson Bernard Joseph Gosserand, Jr., one great-granddaughter Ja Mayah Chanta Ceasar. Olie leaves to witness her homegoing and cherish her memories her husband Walter Turner, five daughters Elouise Gosserand of Baton Rouge, LA., Annie Lofton of Simmesport, LA., Linda(Latin) Declouet of Lake Charles, LA., Jackquelin(McKinley) Muse of Baton Rouge, LA., Shirlyn(Arthur Lane) Muse of Baton Rouge, LA., one stepdaughter Jackie Antoine Earl of Simmesport, LA., one son Keith Darrell Turner, of Lake Charles, LA., Ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, two Godchildren Ivory Harris II and Dr. Kraig Loyd. Two devoted life friends Cecilia Hawkins and Pamela T. Harris, four sisters in law, Myrtle Dupar, Mae Bertha(Willie)Loyd, Annie Sallier, and Albertha Richard, two brothers in law Silton(Dean) Turner Sr., Henry(Shirley) Turner, Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Acknowledgements The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to friends and loved ones for the many acts of kindness shown in our time of bereavement.
