Obituary of Chester Richard,61

Chester Ray Richard was born to Ervin Richard, Sr. and Alice M. Richard on September 23, 1958 in Pineville, LA. He was reared up on Taylor Hill, LA. At an early age, Chester was baptized at the Pleasant Baptist Church by Rev. Herman Anderson. He attended A. Wettermark High School in Boyce, LA. After high school, he went to work for Baker’s Manufacturing Company and later for Coca Cola Bottling Company, until his health failed. He was actively involved in community services in Lena, Taylor Hill, Boyce, and all surrounding areas until the Lord called him home. Chester was well known throughout the community for handyman services. Chester went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 5, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father, Ervin Richard, Sr.; his brother, Ervin Richard, Jr.; sister, Brenda L. Young; and brothers-in-law, James Young and Lamal Demouy. His memories will always be cherished by his mother, Alice M. Richard; brothers, William Richard (Jeanette), Daniel Richard (Cassandra), John Richard (Nora), and Marvin Richard (Audrey); sisters, Carolyn Ford (Henry) and Cynthia Demouy; two special friends, Mr. & Mrs. Mike (Brittany) Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
