Remembering Marlon 

 

Marlon Lewis Hertzog was born on August 6, 1968, to Joseph L and Maxine M Hertzog in Pineville, LA.

 

Marlon attended Peabody Magnet High School and graduated Class of 1986. In 1986 He also entered into the US Navy. While in the Navy, he attended the Naval Air Technical Training Command, Naval Air Maintenance Training Group, and the USAF Shepherd Technical Training Group. After finishing his stint in the US Navy. Marlon pursued a degree in Chemical Engineering at LSU (Geaux Tigers). In addition to his various accomplishments, Marlon was an avid inventor. Marlon resided in Sugar Grove, IL since 2006, where he worked for Johnson Controls for 10 plus years as a Maintenance Technician. Marlon also served one full term as Union President in Illinois.

 

On Tuesday, December 10, 2019, Marlon relinquished the challenges of life and sickness and peacefully laid to rest 

 

Marlon was proceeded in death by his mother, Maxine Hertzog; his daughter Kirsten N Hertzog and grandson Aiden Hertzog.  

 

Marlon leaves to cherish his memories Father Joseph L Hertzog of Alexandria, LA three brothers, Reginald (Dolly) Hertzog of Baton Rouge, LA, Kenneth (Shelly) Hertzog Sr. of Altheimer, AR and Keith (Rochelle) Butler of Dallas, TX and two sisters Sabrina Hertzog of Alexandria, LA and Kimberly Hertzog of Houston, TX. His special niece Quineecia Jones of Alexandria, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
