Obituary of Rosa Lee Ross

LIFE REFLECTIONS:


II TIMOTHY 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.

Rosa Lee Ross was born June 20th, 1940 to the union of John Brown Sr. and Rosa Barnes-Brown in Bayou Rapides community. She attended Morning Star Elementary, CE Robinson for middle school, and Peabody Magnet High School.
Rosa Lee was baptized at an early age on Easter Sunday in 1949 by the Late Rev. Luke Williams at First Evening Star B.C. She was also a member of Pilgrim Rest B.C under the leadership of Rev. L.C. William. In 1989, Rosa Lee became a member of St. Matthews B.C. and faithfully served as a member of the usher ministry. 
Rosa Lee united, in holy matrimony, with Nathaniel Ross on November 28th, 1959. Rosa Lee and Nathaniel were married for 59 loving, wonderful years and to this union, five sons were born.
Rosa Lee departed this earthly life on Wednesday October 30th, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. & Mrs. John Brown Sr. and six siblings: Bessie Stafford, Susie Mae Rosenthal, Annie Brown, Arthur Brown, Joseph Brown, Clara Lou Harris, and Willie Brown.
Rosa Lee leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband Nathaniel Ross of Boyce, LA and six sons: Donald Ross (Bridgette) of Boyce, LA, Ronnell Ross (Loreila) of Bunkie, LA, Donnell Ross (Yalounda) of Alexandria, LA, Joseph Ross (Brenell) of Boyce, LA, Michael Ross (Felicia) of Alexandria, LA, and Roy Lee Thomas (Vickie) of Houston,TX, and a daughter Sandra R Thomas of Boyce, LA. One sister, Luease Eldridge of Boyce, LA and two brothers, Thomas Brown of Houston, Tx and John Brown (Ella Mae) of Boyce, LA. Rosa Lee has 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren who loved her dearly, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
