Obituary of Shertercal Deontanae Williams

Shertercal Deontanae Williams was the oldest of six children. After her mother, Bernice Williams Brooks passed away, Shertercal was a second mother, helping her grandmother, the late Annie B. Williams, raise her siblings.

Shertercal attended Tioga High School and graduated from Aiken Optional in 2007. Shertercal lived in Alexandria, Louisiana, all of her childhood and always had dreams of exploring the world Shertercal moved to Virginia in 2012, where she met her companion, Leo Forestal.

Shertercal accepted Christ at an early age. She worked as a caregiver and enjoyed taking care of others. Shertercal loved to model, shop, travel and was a passionate make-up artist.

Little that we knew God was going to call her home on October 4, 2019. God knew her wings were ready even though our hearts were not.

Shertercal was preceded in death by her mother, Bernice Williams Brooks; grandmother, Annie B. Williams; great-grandparents, Mr. Henry and Mrs. Dora Williams, Jr., and Mr. Rufus and Mrs. Ann Viola Landrum, Sr.

Shertercal leaves to cherish her memory, two sisters, Shaquella and Shameka Williams; three brothers, Jeffery and Jadarius Williams and Gerald Brooks, Jr., all of Alexandria, Louisiana; grandfather, Henry Williams, Jr.; four aunts, Brenda Branch (Columbus), Beverly Welch (Roland, Sr.), Janet Ingram (Fredrick) and Ramona Mason (Gregory); three uncles, Rufus Landrum, Jr. (Patricia), James Williams and Keltric Williams (Quita), all of Alexandria; niece, Deontanae Horton; nephew, Deante Williams; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
