Obituary of Rhea Jade Brown

Rhea Jade Brown was born on August 3, 1989 in Pineville, Louisiana to Donald R. Brown and the late Louise Angela Brown. She was Christened on August 14, 1989 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Marksville, Louisiana. On Friday evening, September 20, 2019 Rhea departed this earthly life in Abbeville, LA. Rhea was a lover of life and scholar at living it her way. She loved her family and friends genuinely and deeply, and that love was affectionately returned to her. She had a profound love for children and they enjoyed being around her. She could make you laugh with her infectious smile and could keep you laughing once she began to speak. She was compassionate to all people and never encountered a stranger. Her outgoing personality would attract various types of people, and she would give to the less fortunate without a reservation or judgment. On August 23, 2018 Rhea married Vicky Hawkins Brown they resided in Abbeville, LA until her untimely passing. Rhea was preceded in death by her mother Louise Angela (Gee Gee) Brown, grandmother Annie Mae Brown and godmother Gloria Williams. Those left to cherish Rhea’s loving memories include: wife Vicky Brown of Abbeville, LA and her father Donald Brown (Angie) of Alexandria, LA. She also leaves with loving memories her sisters: Sherterroca Marbs and children, Justice Grandberry and Justin Grandberry II of Snellville, GA and Angelina McCreary and children, Kyii McCreary and Ameeyah McCreary of Alexandria, LA; mother-in-Law: Willie Mae Hawkins of Tallulah, LA, brothers-in-law: Linell Hawkins, Ronnie Hawkins and Kedariyon Hawkins all of Tallulah, LA; sisters-in-law: Felicia Hawkins and Talesha Hawkins both of Tallulah, LA; grandparents, Melvin and Irma Young of Marksville, LA , her uncle Varold (Cynthia) Brown, Sr. of Alexandria, LA and aunt Lesha (Peter J.) Oliver of Mansura, LA; great-aunt Joyce (Samuel) Gibson of McDonough, GA and godfather Melvin Trent (Jeralyn) Young of Marksville, LA. She will also be fondly missed by her many loving Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Extended Family and Friends. And her precious dog Diamond.
