Obituary of Gussie L. Davis, Sr.

Gussie L Davis Sr was born August 23, 1922 in Fayette, Mississippi to the late Claude and Emma Jean Davis McKnight. He was married to Betty Sue Wilkins Davis on January 8, 1949. To this union was born four sons and two daughters. He served in the United States Air Force for thirty two years and retired as Master Sergeant Davis in 1975. He departed this life on September 14, 2019 at Rapides Regional Medical Center.  He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Sue Davis, his parents, two daughters Mary Davis Haynes, Claudia Davis Wilkins, two sons Anthony Davis and Edwin Charles Davis Sr, his only  sister Mary Elizabeth Monroe. He leaves to mourn his two sons Gussie L Davis Jr of Alexandria, Louisiana and Antonio Davis Sr of Hutto, Texas seventeen grand children and eighteen great grand children and a host of relatives and friends.  We wish to express our sincere gratitude to all those who have lent support and kept us in their prayers during this time of loss. We are forever grateful and we thank you.
