Obituary of Mrs. Margie Faye Poland

Margie Faye Poland was born on March 26, 1934. She attended St. James Catholic School, and she was baptized on Daspit Street at St. James Catholic Church on May 8, 1948.

Margie enjoyed her family and entertaining people. If she could make it she would send a gift. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. Margie always took pride in everything that she did.

Margie retired from the University of Texas at Austin, along with retiring from Austin I.S.D. as a bus monitor for special children. She was a member of the community unity club.

Margie Faye Poland, age 85, passed way on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at her home under hospice care. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sallie Rushin; father, Mancy Poland; sisters, Lorraine Davis and Irene Broussard; and best friend, Rudolph Gistard. She leaves to cherish her memories, two sisters, Barbara (Joseph) Goff and Gloria (George) Goff, both of Alexandria, Louisiana; nephew, Lee (Jessie) Crittle of Houston, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
