Charley Brisco Jr was born June 15, 1933 at Inglewood Plantation in Alexandria, Louisiana to the union of the late Charley Brisco Sr and  Loretta Jackson, later raised by Beatrice Harris . Charley was employed early in his life at Alexandria Bedding Company until its closing. He began working for the City of Alexandria Water Department on August 3rd, 1978, retiring 20 years later on September 1st, 1998.

Charley was united in marriage to his first wife Essie Mae Brisco (deceased) and to this union they had three children: Patricia Brisco, Sandra Brisco-Byrd and Robert Brisco (deceased). In 1969 Charley married Rebecca Jackson-Brisco(deceased) and to this union, they had seven children: Johnny Figgins, Janetta Jackson (deceased), Bobby Jackson (deceased), Shirley Brisco-Scott, Linda Brisco-Henry, Connie Brisco-Chark and Charley Brisco III.

Charley was an avid softball player for many years. In 1952, The softball team that he was a part of, Broadway Park Softball League were the undefeated champs in Alexandria. This was an all African American men league, with many of them almost going pro.

Charley departed this life on July 6th 2019. He is preceded in death by his wife Rebecca Jackson-Brisco; parents Charley Brisco Sr,  Loretta Jackson and Beatrice Harris; sister Mary Clark-Higgins; brothers Chester Harris Sr.,  and Houston (Dooley) Harris; And as mentioned above, his daughter Janetta Jackson; sons Robert Charles Brisco and Bobby Ray Jackson.

Charley is survived by his sons Johnny Figgins of Alamogordo, New Mexico and Charley Brisco III (Kris) of Alexandria; daughters Patricia Brisco of New Orleans, Sandra Joyce Brisco-Byrd (Darren) of New Orleans, Shirley Brisco-Scott (Earnest) of Alexandria, Linda Brisco-Henry of Alexandria, Connie Brisco-Chark (Charles) of Baytown, Texas and Shandrea Bowie of Denver Colorado; brother Frank Clark of Brooklyn New York; sister-in-law Verna Dee Miles of Alexandria; (19) sixteen grandchildren and (29) great grandchildren.

Charley was loved and respected by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends alike.
