Obituary of Mr. Michael Robert Bell, Sr.
Michael Robert Bell Sr. was born on October 5, 1955, in Pineville, Louisiana to Joe Bell Sr. and Beatrice Davenport Bell. He embraced his heavenly life on July 4, 2019 at his home.
Brother Bell accepted Christ at an early age and was a lifetime member of Gospel Temple Church. He served as a Deacon at Gospel Temple Church. He was a member of the United States Army, worked as a supervisor at poultry factory, and housekeeping for the VA Hospital.
Throughout his life he was an avid fisherman, hunter, and loved talking on the CB across the country known as ‘Iron Mike Tyson.’ He was known to bring humor to any situation often offering a quick joke about feeding people ‘possum stew,’ to ‘guinea gumbo.’ Anyone who knew him dearly knows he had a sweet tooth and a generous habit of offering candy to friends and family. Whether it was peppermint, Werther’s or his infamous pecan candy he was skilled at making, he expressed caring by sharing that which he loved. He always enjoyed watching his westerns and Kung Fu movies.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Bell Sr. and Beatrice Bell, brothers Benjamin Bell, Paul Bell, Joe Bell Jr., Thurman Bell Sr., MacArthur Bell, Johnell Bell Sr., Donald Ray Bell, sisters Dorothy Bell, and Louise Faye Smith.
He leaves to cherish his loving and precious memories his daughter LaToya Bell Musembi (Steve), and son Michael Bell Jr.; his beloved granddaughters Lauren and Sydney Musembi; two brothers Jacob Bell and Pastor Nathaniel Bell ; two sisters Diane Wilson and Rose Marie Roberts; sisters in law Dottie Bell, Esther Bell, and Wanda Sue Bell; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
