Charles Edward Boss II, affectionately known as Duke, was born December 2, 1987 to the union of Charles Edward and Donna Lenee Johnson Boss. He transitioned peacefully on June 15, 2019.

Charles accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by Rev. Kurt Clark at the Second Evening Star Baptist Church on Bayou Rapides. He attended church faithfully as he was reared in a Christian home where he was taught the importance of having a personal relationship with God.

Charles was educated in the Rapides Parish School System and graduated from Peabody Magnet High School, Class of 2006 as Valedictorian and Class President. He continued his education at Southern University Baton Rouge, graduating Summa Cum Laude as Valedictorian, all Latin Honors, with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology on December 10, 2010. He pledged Beta Sigma Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity in the Spring of 2010 while at Southern.

Charles was loved and respected by his elders and peers. He was often called upon for words of wisdom and advice. He was a great listener and loved resolving issues.
