Obituary of Mr. Marcus Eugene Rue

Obituary
Marcus Eugene Rue was born to George and Lottie W. Rue on June 18, 1965. He confessed and accepted Christ at an early age being baptized at New Hope Baptist Church where he served as a junior usher and youth choir member. Marcus later became a member of the Pentecostals of Alexandria under the leadership of Pastor Anthony Mangun where he also served as an usher. He later reunited the Calvary Tabernacle Pentecostal Church under the leadership of Pastor John Russell.
Marcus attended the Rapides Parish Schools where he plated football and basketball for Bolton High School. He also received a certificate from Alexandria Business School. He was the New Orleans Saints #1 fan and Grambling State Tigers.
Marcus was preceded in death by his father George Rue, sister Yvonne Austin, and brother Jerome Rue.
He leaves to cherish his memories his son Caleb Holmes; mother Lottie Rue; brother Albert Rue (Shantel) of Baytown, Texas; sisters Becky Sweazie of Alexandria, Louisiana and Valgenia Thompson of Douglasville, Georgia. One Godsister Celsey Harris of Donaldsonville, Louisiana. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
