Obituary of Mrs. Della Mae Jones
Della Mae Jones was born on June 5, 1927 to Green Jones and Della Johnson in New Orleans, Louisiana. She gave her life to Jesus early in life and loved to share the gospel with others. Her joy was her beloved family. She lived a long and full life up to the age of 91. She left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior, at home surrounded by her loving family, on April 11, 2019. Della Mae was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Jermaine Garmon. She is survived by her son, Bruce H. Welch (Vivian) and daughter, Sylvia L. Jones. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Melanie Taylor (Justin), Monica (Tre), Leuwiskah, Michael (Jolene), Robert, Elijah, Nicole (Davon), Phillip, Nathan (Harmony), and Anita, great grandchildren, Patience, Parker, Mercy, Aniyah, Bailee, Tristan, Aidan, Treyson, Arwen, Lachlan, Caoilfhionn, Faelan, Kallan, Leya, Kaylee, Chloee, Maximus, and Leon. Della Mae is deeply missed and forever treasured in the hearts of those who loved her. Celebration of life held privately by family.
