Obituary of Mr.Brandon Lee Smothers

Brandon Lee Smothers was born at Rapides General Hospital on June 25, 1986 to Willow R. Smothers-Harden and the late Leroy Freeman.  He departed this life on March 18, 2019, at CHRISTAS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana.

He was raised in the Sonia Quarters and attended Rapides Parish Public Schools where he later proudly graduated as a Bolton Bear from Bolton High School.  Throughout his childhood was a member of the Boys and Girls Club.   He later joined the Mt. Pisgah Baptist church under the leadership of Rev. Phillip Gallow.  

Brandon had a great love for his family and enjoyed spending time with them.  He enjoyed listening to music, especially DJ Screw.  Brandon loved food but bread was indeed his all time favorite.  He is described by his siblings as not only their only brother but the BEST brother they could ask for.

He is preceded in death by his father Leroy Freeman as well as both his maternal grandparents Louis and Stella Smothers and his paternal grandparents Charles and Juella Miles.

Brandon leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and caring mother, Willow R. Smothers-Harden (Tyrone); sisters, Tomeka R. Williams (Demetrius), Sashi L. Smothers, Shomonda Swazier, Alise Beauregard, and Lee Lee.  Brandon was loved by all and survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
