My deepest sympathy to the Metoyer and Booker Families. I grew up down the street from Toni, a few years under her and our families knew each other very well esp with our fathers working together for many years at Silver City Elementary. Fast forward to our adult lives, Toni and I both worked for the state and our buildings were next door to each other. I would randomly run into her in the garage or walking downtown during lunch and I would always say, "what's up homie" and she would smile and speak....You will be missed by all. May God continue to bless the families.

To Toni's family, she and I had not seen each other since the day we graduated from high school at Peabody. However, when I received the news of her passing, my heart sank. I was able to find a few photos from high school where we were in them together; they definitely made me smile. I pray that Toni is resting in peace with our Lord and Savior. My deepest sympathies to all of her family, many close friends, and colleagues.

Wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and sorority sister of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. We met several decades ago and we became “thicker than thieves.” I will always cherish the moments from picking out each other wedding gowns to christening each other children and family excursions. You will forever be in our heart and on one’s mind. Toni you are a virtuous woman as in Proverbs 31:27-29 states: “She watches over the ways of her house-hold and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise-up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her: “Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all.” Take your rest my friend and as we always say, chat with you later.

Toni and I met at DEQ in 1990 we became Fast Friends. I was her Maid of Honor in her Wedding and she was the Matron of Honor in mine. I was very Proud to be Langston's God Mother and we shared countless memories. She will be sadly missed by me as I loved and Adored her most of all I looked up to her and Had Mad Respect for her Ambition. I Pray God gives her Family Peace during this difficult Time. I will continue to lift all of you up in Prayer. To her Parents I hope you enjoy the Fryer that she recently bought you it meant a lot to her so maybe when you fry chicken in it you will think of her. I am sending lots of hugs and kisses your way. Toni became a blessing in my life and pretty much helped to structure my future. She helped to open an opportunity and sponsored my membership into Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Inc, guiding and advising me during and afterwards. I am forever grateful to her. So much time has past since I’ve last spoken to her and hearing this sad news makes one realize how time is precious. Rest in Heaven, Toni!
